What is the Pilots Advice Centre?
The General Aviation market - known in the trade simply as 'GA' - can be a confusing place for aspiring pilots who are trying to organise their flying training – both private pilot training, and especially, commercial pilot training. Much research is required in order to understand the various licenses and qualifications on offer, not to mention the ever changing costs involved.
Cabair have Europe’s largest group of flying schools with 8 training centres in the UK, one in Spain, and with affiliate schools in Florida. Recognising the student pilots ongoing need for information on training, Cabair set up a ‘Pilots Advice Centre’ at its Elstree headquarters and it has proved to be a real success.
The Centre’s Manager – Andrew Spender – is delighted with the success of the PAC:

Apart from being able to call and chat with the PAC any time during normal working hours, they hold Private Pilot seminars as various Cabair Flying Schools. These unique seminars are designed with the newcomer to flying in mind, and aim to explain everything you need to know to get your PPL: from finding a school, through flight and ground training, to maintaining your licence.
Apart from discussing the wide range of courses available, they also discuss the various funding options such as Off Peak PPL and the PPL Builder Scheme.
All delivered in an informal, friendly but informative manner with plenty of opportunities to ask questions!
The seminars are FREE. They will consist of a presentation which lasts about an hour followed by a short tour of the aircraft and school facilities. Refreshments will be available.
